We were so happy we chose to stay at Kona by the Sea! The views were amazing and the room super clean! Especially with a one year old, we were really happy with our stay. The kitchen and laundry made it so much easier to care for our little one while on vacation. We would highly recommend this hotel especially to families with kids.
We were thrilled with this beautiful place. Our room was clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean was stunning. Incredibly nice kitchen and 4 star service at every turn. Pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable. Even the other guests were awesome :-) We will definitely be staying here again
Yes, nice for relaxing. The receptionist in the evening is really nice. BUT first room had lots of insects, eye leashes on the bed side table. We could change the room and even got a nicer one, but housekeeping also forgot a contact lense and the fellow in the second sleeping room. That should not happen at a rate of 400$ a day...
Absolutely fantastic location with mesmerizing view of the ocean! Service team was great at handling all our requests. However, Rooms are pretty old with old furniture and old appliances. Rooms need quite some upgrades for a luxurious stay.
My paradise on earth! If u want to truly be relaxed and at home, enjoying beautiful sunsets, swimming in pool & hot spa, eating from the most cleaned BBQ ever this is the place for you. It is quiet, peaceful and the sound of the crashing waves puts u to sleep every night ! Parking is great & easy, come & go as u please.The staff treat u like family & always eager to help. I would come back every year if i could. Truly the best place to stay in Kona! Sarah Savannah, Cliff & whole team are wonderful! We will be back asap!
vacation with spouse and in-laws. took a two bedroom suite with full kitchen. spacious bedrooms, very large living room. large well stocked kitchen with good appliances. wheelchair friendly. elevator from under building parking. good access out to pool and beach. large full depth pool (I hate finding that a hotel "pool" is 4' deep. lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. pool is well maintained. outdoor grills (clean and well maintained). this hotel does not have swimming beach, but many nearby. GREAT ocean views and sound. minutes from downtown kailua, but feels "remote" and quiet. planning to return to this hotel in future.
All I can say is our stay was amazing. We particularly enjoyed the sunset every evening, the pool was excellent and there were grills for barbecuing. Service was excellent and the check in process was seamless. Would definitely like to return. The accommodations are right on the ocean. Our unit was oceanfront.
I cannot say enough good things about this place! The rooms were spacious, the stocked kitchen was laid out well and the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean was fantastic! The location is very convenient and offers a private area to view the perfect sunsets each night. The kind, considerate staff really deserves the 5-stars alone. The front desk was very helpful and the maintenance crew was out every morning cleaning the pool, grills, and landscape. They were quiet and respectful of guests, we only know they were out because we were up early having coffee on the balcony. This felt like our home away from home! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again!
